Ni - Hitchhiker Extraodinaire (Prequel) "But... what will you do?" The little blue and white skinned girl inquired, her long forked tail twitching frantically, "There's only room in the escape pod for one. I don't think the pirates will be too happy you helped a captive escape, either..."Ni - Hitchhiker Extraodinaire (Prequel) by =Divides
"Don't worry," Her tomboyish benefactor replied, helping the girl into the small, metallic cylinder, "Ah've got mah own way off. Yuh jus' need tuh worry about takin' care of yurself..."
"Wait!" the blue and white skinned girl cried out, "At least tell me your name..."
"Ahm Ni!" the tomboy explained, "And yuh? Guess if weh were to evuh meet ag'in it might beh useful to know yuh as somet

It might have been considered a questionable idea... any moment now Rack would be discovering what she did and come looking for her, and sitting at the front of what was probably the most prominent bar on the (admittedly rather sparsely populated) planet sipping chocolate wouldn't exactly make her hard to locate. Then again, Ni WANTED to be located... and while the drink she was holding might be potent enough to leave most individuals far too scatterbrained for a confrontation, the human part of her anatomy gave her enough of a resistance that for her the beverage served as little more than a means to sooth her

Ni - Hitchhiker Extrodinare (Part 2) Rack had to admit, for all her naivety, Ni seemed to have a pretty decent understanding of mechanics. He, himself, had managed to learn a little bit of engineering, mostly for emergency repairs, but the young girl clearly had an understanding well beyond anything he had mastered. Granted, she would have to to be able to perform the repairs like she said, but then... prior to this point he had simply assumed she didn't understand what she was getting herself into. Now that he'd seen her in action, though, he was genuinely impressed.Ni - Hitchhiker Extrodinare (Part 2) by =Divides
Rack also observed that Ni had the odd quirk of muttering as she worked. Admittedly, he had no idea what sh

The entire group of urchins turned to look at her.
"Did Ah hear yuh say yuh were having trouble with yur sub-light accelahration rockets?"
She was met with stony silence.
"Ah bring it up because mah name's Ni," she explained, an intentionally expectant expression on her face.
The stony silence continued.
After a moment, one of the urchins spoke up. His features were concealed by multiple layers of clothing, including a heavy cloak and gloves, but bits of purple skin would occasionally show up from underneath his clothing.
"Never heard of you," the cloaked figure remarke

The Black Sheep - Prologue Argos knew his ability to relate to humans was, if anything, slightly worse than his ability to relate with his fellow sheep. More to the point, while he found other sheep too simple minded, too eager to follow the rest of the herd, his problem with humans seemed to be that, quite simply put, they were too complex. He had a limited grasp on their communication, as well as their culture, but there seemed to be many nuances he was far from grasping. This tended to leave him feeling a tad distanced from them. More over, it also meant that, while he cared deeply about his "owners" (as they seemed to view themselves), he didn't always entirelThe Black Sheep - Prologue by =Divides
