This is a drawing of Avenger Woman, a super-heroine I'm working on.
A few quick points about this drawing: I'm still getting a lot of the basics down, and I'm also experimenting with shading and movement in this drawing (I'm already thinking that I made the shading too detailed at some points compared to the rest of the drawing). As such, while I'm open to constructive criticism, understand in advance that I already know it's not exactly the greatest drawing (I consider this close to the bare-minimum of what I'm comfortable presenting for public viewing right now).
For the record, I know she's falling at a bit of an odd angle. Also, to be clear, the lack of proper pupils in her eyes is deliberate, as is the simplified style for hands and feet (the slight mishapening of her eyes and feet... not so deliberate XD).
I should also point out that because I carelessly did the initial sketch of her too big for the paper I was using, her left hand wound up being added after the fact via mouse.
Anyway, though, I'm still open to what people think about the drawing as a whole.
[Note: In the off chance somebody wishes to use/redistribute my work, please ask permission. I'll probably grant it, depending on how you wish to use/redistribute it, why, where, and if you're willing to give proper credit. However, if I say "no," please accept it and move on.]
I like that the cape is almost the whole top half of the drawing, it's very visually interesting. The shadow on the wall is good, especially how it narrows towards the bent foot as if the limb were closer to the wall. Good attention to detail, overall. Thank you for sharing!
Eh, I usually try to reply when I appreciate a comment (or, at least, intend to, once I actually, you know, have a viewer base... meaning this was "off to a pretty poor start" on that ideal), because while it's not a HUGE deal for me, I have frequently enjoyed it when artists have responded to my own comments letting me know it was appreciated (as your comment was, here), and, as you yourself say...
But anyway, I'll keep in mind that it's not actually necessary in your case. Sorry about that.
Anyway, yeah, thanks for the compliments. Truth be told, I'm glad you like the shadow bit, as I worked hard trying to get that right.
And, of course, I'm glad you liked the cape, as well ^_^. (Looking back on this, that's probably my favorite part of the drawing, myself.)
